History

WPVA started in 1991 as an informal group of local artists meeting once a month to discuss the problems and triumphs in art as a business. Since then, WPVA has grown and evolved, but has still retained its original friendly flavor. WPVA's membership reflects the openness of the group encompassing everyone from novice to long-standing professionals.

Dues

Dues are $35 a year due April 1st. Dues must be paid upon becoming a member and are prorated according to when you join. You may come to one or two WPVA meetings as a guest before deciding if you would like to become a member.

Meeting Times and Locations

WPVA has a monthly meeting that is held on the last Tuesday of every month. Official meeting time is 7:00-9:00 p.m. with a half hour social time beginning at 6:30 p.m. Exceptions to meeting times are made to accommodate speakers, workshops and holidays. WPVA typically meets in Linden Hills in Minneapolis and occasionally meets in different parts of the city.
