Orin Rutchick, founder of the Minneapolis Photo Coop, will talk about his project work, including a current undertaking, Wall to Wall. We will also see some of his work on exhibit in the gallery. Ann Zarth, Creative Buyer for Target Corporation, will offer an informal presentation drawing from her 19 years of experience purchasing the services of photographers, designers, and agencies. She plans to talk on how she works to select the best photographer for each advertising project. Ann will also speak to the specific aspects of commercial photography production, such as location scouting, sets, models, props, wardrobes, and more. She will share examples of photographer promotional materials featuring a variety of photographic styles. Ann will offer her thoughts on how work is valued in the advertising industry. Questions are welcome.

Please bring a dish, snack, dessert, or drink to share. If you would like to bring samples of work, please bring it along as there will be time in our program to get some feedback.
